ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Monitor supplier on-time deliveries via oral and written documentation to ensure zero-part outages in production.
· Set-up premium transportation as required to ensure zero-part outages in production.
· Contact suppliers failing to send ASN’s for shipments. (Advanced Shipping Notices). Request and require corrective action plan to ensure future compliance.
· Manage component parts availability to allow for 100% schedule conformance.
· Complete cycle counts and investigate root causes for discrepancies to ensure zero-part outages in production.
· Complete RDR’s (Receiving Discrepancy Report) investigations as required to ensure proper inventory levels.
· Maintain inventory accuracy within respective MRP controllers and SAP parameters.
· Responsible for monitoring inventory targets and making appropriate adjustments for approval.
· Clear daily backflush errors (COGI) to ensure proper inventory levels for respective MRP controllers.
· Coordinate efforts with all plant functions to ensure MRP system integrity.
· Maintain accuracy in supplier scheduled releases to ensure zero-part shortages.
· Review and analyze supplier ahead/behind schedule reports and take corrective actions to ensure zero parts shortages.
· Manage MAHLE Behr GTA process to coordinate all series related engineering changes to ensure correct timing of revision changes and minimize material obsolescence.
· Maintain designated inventory levels of physical warehouse with zero overflow.
· Follow up with vendors and plant personnel on open purchase orders, services, capital and special orders.
· Complete external and internal supplier and customer communication as required.
· Receive direct and indirect material.
· Research receiving, shipping and purchase orders issues and complete resolution with the appropriate party.
· Provide proper documentation from vendors and plant personnel to ensure proper payment.
· Retain accurate documentation for indirect and direct material receipts.
· Maintain supplier contact list for all suppliers.
· Generate shipping documents for both domestic and international customers and schedule expedited freight as required.
· Clear all open deliveries (VL011) weekly.
· Input Scrap tickets daily across all shifts.
· Contact suppliers to resolve discrepancies in shipping cost verses purchase order agreements.
· Follow up with Purchase Requisitions in SAP to ensure SA’s are generated.
· Perform related duties as required by direction of management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
· Associates Degree in Business/Logistics/Supply Chain Management or related field and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing logistics environment.
· Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Strong analysis, problem solving, process and troubleshooting skills.
· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
· Dynamic communication / inter-personal skills.
· Ability to work in a team environment.
· Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
· Highly organized and possess good decision-making skills.
· Ability to operate email system, prepare basic presentation materials using Excel and PowerPoint.
· SAP experience is preferred.
· Material Management systems and Supply chain management including transportation processes.
