Retail Customer Service Clerk

This is a new Mailbox Rental/Pack and Ship Store. Our slogan is..."Your neighborhood Mailbox Store, reimagined!" We provide Mailbox Rental, Pack and Ship (UPS, FedEx, and USPS), Notary, Copies, Shredding, Laminating, Gift Wrapping, Snacks and Beverages, and more. (Coming soon...CA. Lottery and Notary Public.)

We are seeking an employee that will also be willing to become a Licensed Public Notary. Mail and Done will pay for the Notary Class and Test Costs.

POSITION:

• Retail Customer Service Clerk

SALARY:

• $18-22/hr., doe.

HOURS/DAYS:

• 3 days/wk.: Thurs. 9AM-6PM, Fri. 9AM-6PM, Sa. 9AM-1:00PM (20 hrs./wk.)

DUTIES:

• Greet customers with a friendly demeanor at all times.
• Pack and ship customers items as needed.
• Rent mailboxes, check ID's, and complete required documents.
• Receive customers mail daily, organize mail, place in appropriate mini mailboxes.
• Contact Carriers, as needed, to request pickups.
• Ensure all packages are accurately labeled before shipping.
• Ensure all shipments are packaged and padded appropriately to prevent damage.
• Maintain accurate cash handling.
• Make bank deposits, file bank deposit receipts, and report any issues.
• Suggest and sell retail products.
• Charge customers accurately.
• Provide Notary per customer's needs (after completing Notary Courses etc.).
• Shred, Laminate, and Copy customer's items as needed.
• Open and Close store on time and per operatoinal procedures.
• Restock and stage all retail product so that it is aesthetically pleasing.
• Suggest sales (mailbox rental, retail products, shipping, etc.)
• Produce marketing material as directed.
• Clean counters, contact points, floors, dust, and dump trash as required.
• Ensure store is locked and secured, per operating procedures, upon closing.
• Other duties as assigned.

LOCATION:

• San Bruno, CA.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Be responsible, reliable, and on time.
• Customer service experience.
• Cash handling experience.
• Intermediate Computer/POS skills.
• Friendly Phone Skills.
• Trustworthy, Timely, Friendly, Resourceful.
• Commute reliably to San Bruno.

PREFERENCES:

• Knowledge or prior employment at a Mailbox or Pack and Ship Store.
• 2nd language spoken. (not required)
• Sales skills.
