Summary
Assists the IT Operations Manager in the maintenance and operation of the company’s technical infrastructure including: server, network equipment, phones, etc. Provides technical support for users—both internal and external—of all company systems. Installs and maintains business equipment such as workstations, phones, printers, etc. Participates in IT projects as directed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Helps monitor and maintain systems hardware and software, including servers, peripherals, network nodes, terminals and wiring, backups, etc., and seeks to optimize their utilization and performance.
- Applies/installs upgrades, patches, new applications, and new equipment as directed.
- Provides technical support and guidance to users of all company systems.
- Installs and maintains business equipment as needed including: workstations, printers, phones, scanners, fax machines, security equipment, etc.
- Develops, installs, and tests new network hardware and software releases, system upgrades, evaluates and installs patches and resolves software related problems.
- Monitors systems activities and fine tunes system parameters and configuration to optimize performance and ensure security of systems.
- Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, DNS and DHCP
- Maintains documentation of network configurations and cabling layouts.
- Participates with the rest of the IT Operations Team in the execution of special projects as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the IT Operations Manager.
Additional Technical Responsibilities
- 3 years of related experience
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience, preferred
- VMware vCenter support and administration
- VMware ESXi support and administration
- Administration of Palo Alto firewalls
- Administration of Cisco Meraki switches
- Microsoft Windows Server support and administration
- Customer audits, security audits, compliance audits, critical IT changes (document storage policies, network application vulnerability fixes, IT recommendations)
- Familiar with SOC Type 1 and SOC Type 2 audits
