Full-Time Planner
An ever-evolving regional planning organization seeks an individual to perform technical & professional work in municipal land use, subdivisions, site plan review, and community resilience planning assistance. Minimum qualifications include:
B.A. or B.S. in regional or community planning, environmental science, rural and urban design, landscape architecture, land use planning, geography, or related planning field. Demonstrated knowledge of the planning board review process desired. Masters preferred. Pending graduation considered.
Effective written communication, public presentation, and people skills, experience in social media and web design a plus;
Experience or knowledge of the Planning Board review processes desired;
Familiarity with GIS mapping and data systems
Strong organization and prioritization skills, ability to work independently;
Strong research and analytical skills;
Knowledge of Maine and federal funding opportunities; and,
Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
