We are seeking per diem Maintenance Workers to join our dynamic maintenance team which cares for the homes of America’s heroes – our Veterans, their spouses, and Gold Start parents! The Maintenance Worker will assist with snow removal and other duties as assigned.

Position summary: The Maintenance Worker I performs basic maintenance and repair work to buildings, grounds and equipment, in order to provide a safe, functional, sanitary and comfortable environment for the residents, employees and the public.

Essential Functions of the Job:

• Must be able to understand and comply with OSHA regulations and NFPA Codes.
• Knowledgeable of the proper use of equipment used in landscaping and maintenance/repair functions.
• Knowledgeable of the hazards involved and safety precautions necessary in building and equipment maintenance and repair, and grounds keeping work.

Education/Training/Experience: A minimum of one year experience, education and/or training in general maintenance and repair work, grounds keeping, and custodial functions. Experience in a nursing home environment helpful. Must possess and maintain a current and valid State of Maine driver’s license.
