Job Summary: Under the supervision of a physician, provides direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services to patients of a specific population served based on the norms for specialty. Job Description: MaineGeneral Medical Center, central Maine's premier integrated health delivery system has express care clinics located in Augusta, Gardiner, Waterville and Winthrop. Providing patients with the right care, at the right time and right place, these clinics offer extended weekday and weekend hours. We are seeking a per diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for our Waterville clinic, with the flexibility to travel to other clinic locations if coverage is needed. This person will report to the Medical Director of Express Care and be supported by primary care physicians, medical assistants, and nursing staff. Two years' experience as a PA or NP in an emergency department, urgent care or primary care setting is preferred, but not required. Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (12 hour days), weekends 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (9 hour days), and all holidays with the exception of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Strong communication and customer service skills, computer literacy (word processing, EMR and email) are required.
