Title: Revenue Cycle Management Systems Coordinator I
Position Summary
The RCM Coordinator I is responsible for supporting the Revenue Cycle Management application system(s) support needs. Responsibilities include development and implementation of quality assurance processes; maintaining application functionality within the MaineHealth model system, and supporting RCM end user needs by serving as the primary system resource. This role will collaborate regularly with RCM staff, hospital departments, physician practices, application vendor representatives and the MaineHealth EPIC support team.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Associates Degree in Computer Science/Business Administration or related experience.
- License/Certifications: N/A
- Experience: N/A
- Basic analytical skills sufficient to detect multi step processes to identify sources of error, may require some oversight and guidance.
- Ability to maintain basic working knowledge of all aspects of the revenue cycle systems, including all updates and enhancements (EPIC, e Premis, Medipac).
- A basic knowledge and understanding of Patient Accounting procedures, policies, systems and equipment.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to communicate problems, solutions, and/or changes to multiple disciplines, including but not limited to the Admitting, Emergency, Central Registry, Information Services, User Services, Physician Practices and Accounting Departments across MaineHealth members.
