The Outpatient Behavior Technician – Developmental Disorders will work in the outpatient clinic of the Center of Excellence in Autism and Developmental Disorders to provide behavioral support to youth and adult patients. The Outpatient Behavior Technician – Developmental Disorders will also support patients with blood draws in the clinic phlebotomy station

Responsibilities

• Perform checks and document on patient’s record in accordance with hospital policies
• Work with the treatment team in the collection of pertinent data to assist in the development of individualized behavioral plans
• Implement sensory schedules as indicated by behavioral plan
• Observe and respond to codes and follow code leader’s direction

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) – “What you will need”:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or related field.
• License/Certifications:  Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) (provided by organization); Current CPR and Safety Care certification (provided by organization)
• Experience: 1 year of experience working with youth and/or adults with developmental disorders preferred.
