Job Posting for Cancer Registry Coordinator-Health Information Management at MaineHealth
Position Summary
Plans, develops and maintains the tumor registry services; educates, administration, medical staff and allied health professionals on accreditation requirements; and coordinates monitoring of Tumor Conference meetings and other cancer program activities as required by the Commission on Cancer standards; maintains documentation required for accreditation.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education: Associate degree (AA, AS, AAS) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have completed courses in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology with previous experience in Medical Record Department.
Conducts self in an ethical and professional manner in dealing with patients, families, peers, physicians and supervisors
