For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Certified Nursing Assistants:
0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time)
1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

We are presently recruiting for a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Medical Surgical Unit.

Position Summary This position consists of 36 hours per week.

Assists in providing age-specific, pediatric through geriatric patient centered care. Under the direct supervision of the RN, the CNA performs specific delegated tasks as they relate to ADL and the promotion of outcome based patient centered care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred.

License/Certifications: Certification from an approved nursing assistant program. Current registration with the Maine Registry of Certified Nursing Assistants. Current BLS certification (or attained within 6 months of hire).

Experience: N/A

OSHA-MSDS sheets and procedures.

Fire and safety procedures.

Operation of patient care equipment (beds, scales, lifts, thermometers etc.) and office equipment (photocopier, computer, telephone.)
