Maine Medical Center’s Outpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic provides treatment and care to children and adolescents under age 21 who experience a variety of psychiatric challenges. These include mood, anxiety, behavior, psychotic, learning, and developmental disorders, substance abuse co-occurring with psychiatric illness, those who have experienced adverse or traumatic events, and those at risk for suicide.

What you will do:
- Provide care coordination and clinical support within co-occurring service lines.
- Serve as initial contact for new patient referrals.
- Play critical role in the safety of medication management for out-patients
- Assist with training of the residents and fellows in different practices and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Create safe and welcoming environment
- Conduct all orientations for new patients
- Collect, score, generate reports, and distribute results of rating scales and diagnostic tools back to providers
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) – “What you will need”:
- Education: N/A
- License/Certifications: CRMA preferred.
- Experience: Knowledge of mental illness and treatment practices and procedures normally acquired through a minimum of 2 years’ experience, preferably in a mental health facility. Two years’ experience working with patients who were diagnosed with mental illness.
