- License/Certifications: Active nursing license. Certification in Case Management preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of (5) five years’ experience preferred.
- Understanding of health care reimbursement preferred
- Proficient computer and communication skills
For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-3 years of RN experience and $20,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 3 years of RN work experience!
Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.
Position Summary
Provides utilization review services; assisting with identifying medical necessity for care; identifies appropriateness of current status and coordinates the planning and safe transition process and follow-up.
In order to meet the patient’s safety and healthcare needs, the case manager works with the provider, interdisciplinary team, the patient and family to facilitate a plan of current care and coordinate any required follow-on care to promote a balance of quality and cost effective care.
