We are looking for a Mainframe Test Engineer to join our growing team in the US!
Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and other Technical leads to develop and execute testing independently, and in coordination with other Mainframe Test Engineers. Aggregate business and technical requirements into high quality test scripts for our clients Mainframe Systems. Deliver testing best practices to all projects while maintaining adherence to corporate Quality Engineering protocols and practices. Ensure that all functionality is thoroughly tested before going into production for reliability and for adherence to specifications.
Responsibilities
Following QE standards, independently analyze system requirements or user stories to develop and execute test scripts to ensure quality of the system
Conduct functional, integration and/or regression testing of multiple programs in a mainframe environment
Review output to determine if test results meet established requirements or acceptance criteria
Create and update Test Scripts
Defect Creation and reproduction
Testing Documentation including creation of: Test Plans, Test Designs, and Test Results/Summary reports
Plan testing, including collection of data required for execution of test scripts
Utilize test tool (qTest) to develop/execute test scripts
Utilize repository (JIRA) for requirements traceability and defect management
Work with project managers, analysts, stakeholders and development teams to coordinate test activities and ensure timely and accurate completion of testing.
Provide estimates on the testing effort required for any assigned work
