Maintenance Technician III

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicant must possess high school diploma or equivalent. Must possess and maintain a valid
Driver's License. Experience in maintenance and repair of building mechanical, Electrical,
pneumatic and special systems. Ability to read and interpret building blueprints. Understanding
of government regulations protecting the safety, health and rights of employees and the public
(including but not limited to asbestos, hazardous chemicals access to buildings by the
handicapped and playground safety). Communicate effectively with all members of the school
district and process excellent customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work to accomplish work in each of 3 zones of the district
Assist in work and activities to maximize efficiency
Use TeamWorks to create, update and complete work orders
Design, plan and implement projects in trade or craft
Must be willing to assign any license(s), possessed or obtained, to the school district if
needed to comply with local or state regulations
Draw simple sketches for review in repair, installation and renovation
Insure work completed is accordance to standard means and methods
Diagnoses equipment trouble and initiate corrective measures
Submits cost estimates for the amount of materials and labor necessary for projects
Review work of outside contractors for adherence to plans and specifications
Coordinate and execute work orders with zone
Ability to work alone or with other associates to complete assigned tasks
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communications with
maintenance employees, school staff, parents and others
Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions
Must be adaptable to performing under stress and when confronted with emergency
situations
Complete specific duties assigned by supervisor
Work under direction of supervisor for all work orders assigned regardless of nature
