What are the responsibilities and job description for the Qualified Level 3 Educator working with 1-2 Year Olds position at Maisie Poppins Nursery & Pre-School?
Enthusiastic and professional early years educator required for our 1-2 year old room in Hackney.
Maisie Poppins LTD is a multi award winning Nursery & Pre School organisation. We are highly reputable, ethical and popular and have very high standards which we uphold at all times. We have a ‘people before profit’ approach and our ethos is holistic and child centred. Our childcare is complemented by parenting support. Within this role you will be working with a max of nine 1-2 year olds, alongside our qualified Room Leader and Senior Educator in a bright and spacious room. We have two outside spaces and are close to london Fields E8.
You'll need stamina to keep up with the needs and energy of a small group of young, lively children. Creative skills such as music, dance, drama, arts and crafts are advantageous as is Autism and SEN experience/awareness.

• Hours: up to 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday 48 weeks a year.
• 28 fully paid holiday a year prorata including bank holidays
• Ongoing learning and development plan and training and monthly supervision
• Location: Mare St E8, Hackney, London
• Start Date: November 2020
• Contract type – Contract with 3 months’ probation period
• Job Type: Full-time and part time
Salary: £10.75 - £11.35 an hour ( depending upon experience, goes up every April)

Skills required
• Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal.

• Excellent organisational skills to plan the children's day and respond to children's different needs including SEND and specifically autism
• the ability to inspire and enthuse young children and staff

• ability to work independently with children, as well as being able to work in the wider nursery team
• a sense of humour and the ability to keep things in perspective.

• Understanding of the EYFS and national primary school curriculum with ability to observe and assess.
