The Operations Manager works as a key member of the administrative team, ensuring all operational activities of the venue run efficiently. Working directly with the Program Director, the Operations Manager carries out the day-to-day tasks of the Majestic Theatre. Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks among a wide variety of needs are necessary.

Principal duties include:

Manage all box office and ticketing procedures, including but not limited to Ludus software, communication to customers, open hours, pre-show needs

Create and coordinate appropriate marketing campaigns and advertising materials for the Majestic Theatre and Majestic Cafe, including but not limited to management of website, print and digital media, marquee and onsite displays, local/regional press, radio, etc.

Manage all aspects of venue rentals

Facilitate licensing and compliance as needed

Working with a team of volunteers:

  • Coordinate Front-of-House procedures and personnel
  • Coordinate backstage requirements
  • Coordinate production crew and train volunteers and student assistants as needed
  • Create, implement, and supervise facility safety procedures in compliance with local codes and regulations
  • Ensure the facility is kept tidy and orderly

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in general administrative work
  • Demonstrated experience balancing diverse tasks
  • Demonstrated experience working with volunteers
  • Proficiency/ability to quickly learn specialized database and management softwares (as well as MS Office, Google Suite, etc.)

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge and proficiency in various aspects of music/performing arts/concert settings, and/ or skills in technical theater, are a plus

  • Ability to anticipate internal and external stakeholder needs

  • Discretion in dealing with sensitive information

  • Efficient worker with attention to detail
  • Ability to independently prioritize and complete work in a complex environment
  • Sophisticated time management, process management, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to create necessary tools to succeed

Job classification: Part-time Non Exempt

Reports to: Program Director

Anticipated workload: 25 hours weekly average, with potential to grow

Modality: Primarily onsite, percentage remote possible
