JOB SUMMARY AND SPECIFICATIONS
JOB SUMMARY
Represents Major Hospital as the initial contact for any/all Patient Access Services including but not limited to: registration/admission of patients, identify uninsured patient and communicate with MedAssist when appropriate, answers and transfers incoming calls, internal and external paging, order entry, and customer service support to the hospital in registration functions. This position may float to various registration sites within the health system.

Strong customer service, communication and teamwork skills. Strong problem solving techniques and interpersonal skills-including ability to communicate effectively both orally and written. Ability to work under time pressure while interacting in a helpful, courteous manner with a degree of patient contact.
