Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for a government contracts specialist (temp to perm or direct hire).
Overview : Our client is seeking an experienced government contracts specialist.
Company : Telecom company
Experience : Successful candidates will have at least 3 or more years of related experience
Location : Oakton, Virginia with flexibility to commute to Washington, D.C. as needed. Hybrid 3 days in / 2 out.
Responsibilities Include :
- Analyze legal information, perform legal research, investigate facts, provide initial review of contract documents, draft official government correspondence and prepare legal documents and reports.
- Specialize in government contracts, to include the Federal Acquisition Regulation and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement.
- Investigate and research moderately complex legal matters.
- Prepare legal documents that require an advanced legal knowledge of specific subject areas.
- Assists legal organization in acquiring the information and data needed to prepare for government customer negotiations, board appeals, and corporate meetings.
- May attend possible government customer meetings and represent company in administrative role.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience working with Government Contracts.
- Ideal candidate is collaborative, cordial, and able to manage multiple projects. They should be able to support senior attorneys and strategically work with the legal team to improve efficiency.
- Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in Oakton, VA.
