ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
The I.T. Security Analyst position is responsible for designing, building and driving certain aspects the information security program designed to safeguard the Bank’s information and data. This position is integral to the overall success of the Salem Five I.T. Security Program.
Working within the I.T. Security Team and reporting to the I.T. Security Manager, the I.T. Security Analyst supports the management of security controls, products and services that protect the Bank’s systems and networks. More broadly, this position assists with initiatives intended to strengthen the policies, process controls and technical standards for security and management. Collaboration with all I.T. Departments is essential. Responsibilities to include:
- Find and mitigate security vulnerabilities discovered in the Bank’s computing environment before any breaches can occur by conducting vulnerability testing and risk analyses.
- Monitor user security access and maintaining the relevant data.
- Monitor and direct security patch installation and vulnerability remediation of all network computing devices, such as workstations/laptops, servers, networking equipment, etc.
- Ensure security hardening benchmark standards are maintained.
- Respond to security related Help Desk tickets.
- Provide support and analysis during and after a security incident.
- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
- Participate in security investigations and compliance reviews by gathering evidence in response to audit and examiner requests.
- Proactively participate in the continued development of the bank’s security posture, including research, evaluation and recommendation of new systems or enhancements.
- Communicate risk assessment results both written and verbally to IT management, and provide recommendations on corrective actions, remediation resolution, and ensure follow-on reporting and monitoring is completed.
- Contribute to the ongoing growth of the Information Security Program by identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college or technical school; and/or 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- CISSP or equivalent information security certification(s) (e.g. CISM, CISA, CCSP) preferred. CISSP should be acquired within 12 months of employment.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3 or more years of I.T. Security environment experience in a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with common standards for IT security and Cyber Defense.
- Strong understanding of security risk management and the integration with business strategy.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Attention to detail imperative.
- Strong time management skills to drive expected outcomes.
- Proven flexibility with the ability to multi-task, effectively prioritize and work under pressure.
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a team.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Must be focused, energetic, meet commitments, willing to take ownership, have excellent judgment and integrity.

Preferred:
Basic understanding of several of the following security technologies including Microsoft Active Directory, firewalls, routers, switches, IDS/IPS, SIEM, VPN, encryption technologies, data protection, design, privileged access, etc.
- Cloud security experience helpful.
