What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operating Engineer position at Malace HR?
MalaceHR is seeking a Building Engineer to work at 1 million square foot commercial building in Washington D.C.
Preferred hours: 5:00AM-1:30PM
$30-32/hour
Position is needed immediately and will be needed until mis-September.
Responsibilities include performing preventative maintenance on HVAC building equipment:
- 22 SCUs - annual PM (estimated 28 working days)
- Cleaning coils
- Checking/replacing belts (provided by the building)
- Checking bearings
- Wiping down inside
- Checking electrical connection
- Checking refrigeration circuits
- Punching condenser tubes
- Clean up.
- 175 VAV Filter Changes (estimated 15 working days)
- Remove old filter.
- Replace with new filter (provided by the building)
- Perform visual inspection of the VAV and its duct work
- 20 Garage supply and exhaust fans - annual PM (estimated 5 working days)
- Cleaning fan cage & unit
- Checking and replacing belts (provided by the building)
- Checking electrical connection
- Clean up.
Ladders and basic hand tools provided by the building.

Requires drug and background screening.
