Director Information Systems

Description

Summary: Responsible for management of an array of Information Systems to achieve the companys business strategy. Managing Information Systems to meet internal customer requirements as well as the support and maintenance of existing business systems, program and project management, vendor management and budgets. Will be a HANDS ON role but must also have strong management leadership experience in a publicly traded company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, vision, and management to business analysts and project managers
• Work with executive management and staff to assess and respond to business needs
• Manage IS staff and budget
• Provide day-to-day supervision, conduct performance appraisals, and delegate work assignments for Information Systems personnel
• Develop and Maintain Information Systems Policies and Procedures
• Manage ERP and business systems support, requirements, maintenance and upgrades
• Oversee the IT Project Management methodology and portfolio
• Serve as primary contact with outside vendors in the generation of RFPs, bids, contracts, agreements, and other major vendor interactions as it relates to Business Systems
• Maintain the integrity and continual operation of end user systems
• Assist the business in Process definition, improvement, mapping, and creation
• Assist the business in documentation and training
• Ensure the continual functioning of mission critical business operations
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• 12 years leading small to medium size teams with at least 8 years of management experience
• 5 years leading teams in developing, implementing and enforcing planning and governance processes within IT in a publicly traded company
• Current hands-on experience supporting some or all of Infor LN, Infor CPQ, Infor Factory Track, Infor BIRST, Infor PLM, Infor Approva
• 3 ERP Project Implementations as a senior team member or team lead - Infor LN Industrial or equivalent
• Proficiency in multiple business processes including by not limited to:

• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget
• Strong understanding of project management methodology
• Demonstrated experience as a senior resource assisting in the definition of systems strategy, gathering and documenting business requirements, leading fit-gap analysis, as-is and to- be business process designs, conference room pilots (CRPs) functional configuration, testing, client user training
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
• Must be able to lead meetings and discuss implications of systems deployment with senior engineers and with the business
• Program management experience required
• Leadership skills that energize multidiscipline work teams to respond to business needs
• Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with customers, associates, and senior management
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills
• Strong abilities in relationship management, teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and persuade at all management levels and thrive in a cross-functional environment
• Ability to manage financial resources to meet goals and multiple projects
• Experience with / participation in at least one ERP implementation
• Experience supporting a manufacturing environment

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience: Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or six to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
