ROLE:
Want to work on one of the most loved cannabis brands in California? The Senior Graphic Designer will play an integral role in creative projects across all functions within the organization ranging from campaigns to packaging. This position will help create and guide the look, feel and personality of Heavy Hitters, Almora, and Surplus with an emphasis on differentiating these brands in a crowded marketplace. This position will be tasked with producing high-quality assets for all consumer touch points while working within the guardrails of our brand strategy. A successful candidate will be able to bring to life visually the unique value proposition of our product portfolio.

- Iterate on designs based on feedback from team members, partners and stakeholders
- Perform quality control across all designs, ensuring the creative aligns with our brand guidelines
- Run multiple projects simultaneously, perform under pressure, and stay focused on the big picture
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Developing and creating brand style guides and brand voice documents
- Refine the look and feel of the brand portfolio
- Manage the creative process from concept to completion for all creative projects
- Translate marketing objectives into clear creative strategies
- Oversee project deliverables, schedule management, and budgets
- Lead and direct the creative team in the production of all marketing and sales collateral
- Oversee packaging artwork creation and updates
- Develop ad and content campaigns for social media, digital media and other media outlets – inclusive of photo and video content
- Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met for consistent messaging
- Create visual merchandising assets for strategic retail accounts
- Produce new and creative visual layouts for customer experiences
- Create eye catching collateral to share product details and assist with promos
- Responsible for packaging design graphics, website development, logos, branding, info graphics, email campaigns, landing pages, ads, in-store POS, digital, social media, editorial content, photography, typography, and artistic styling direction
- Responsible for using the principals of good design to layout and format of all marketing and promotional materials, brochures, flyers, sell sheets, and banners
- Incorporating brand approved elements (photography, illustrations, graphic elements, typography and copy) together into a well-designed and constructed message
- Developing and optimizing company web sites for cross-browser and cross platform compatibility
- Demonstrating high standards while communicating effectively with a high degree of collaboration
COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years of experience in graphic design
- Fluent in Solidworks and/or Rhino 3D and/or Cinema 4D
- Cannabis knowledge/experience
- CPG brand experience is desired but not mandatory
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Web/ UI/UX development skills are a plus
- Google-suite experience
- Asana experience
- Web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ASP, XML, PHP are a plus
- Experience with SEO and SEM is a plus
- Experience with Wordpress
- Wireframing experience is a plus (eg. Balsamiq, InVision, UXPin, etc.)
- Experience producing/directing photo and video shoots
- Photo and video editing
- A good listener and able to take constructive feedback
- Experience in retail visual merchandising is a plus
- Planogram and schematics knowledge/experience a plus
- Focusing on attention to detail and triple checking your work
- Strong project management abilities delivering projects on time and on budget
- Stellar communication and presentation skills
