Description
The Environmental Services Technician performs a variety of general cleaning tasks in maintaining patient rooms, clinics, offices, restrooms, hallways, or other assigned areas of the facility in a sanitary and attractive condition.
What You'll Do:
Dust furniture, equipment, and dust mops floors. Polishes and cleans fixtures in utility rooms and bathrooms.
Operates mechanical floor cleaners, polishers, and vacuums.
Wet mops rooms, halls, and public areas. May buff, strip, wax and polish floors and shampoo rugs and furniture. Cleans vents, fans, and other equipment using vacuum machines. Cleans lighting fixtures, tops of windows, door frames, and high areas using a ladder. Washes walls and windows; hang drapes and screens.
Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials, including hazardous waste.
Maintains linen/trash carts and Environmental Services room in neat orderly fashion.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum of one year experience in commercial cleaning experience preferred.
Job Information:
Full-time, varied day shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Starting wage $19.33.

Experience Requirements
Minimum of 1 year experience in Commercial cleaning experience preferred.

Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel. Must have average hearing acuity and must be able to focus on objects up close and at a distance. Must have clear speaking voice. Must be able to communicate well verbally and in writing. Good manual dexterity is required. Must be able to wear protective devises such as gloves, gowns, and masks. Must be able to lift 70 pounds from the floor to the waist. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Excessive standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking. Work on hands and knees and/or maneuver in small spaces. Some areas require fine motor skills that necessitate hand/eye coordination in the use of small instruments and equipment. Other areas require the use of hand tools and power tools. Frequent ladder climbing. Employees will engage in tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues.
