Senior Accountant
Mammoth is an event production company based out of Lawrence, KS and Kansas City, MO that produces concerts & live events in the United States.
With over 25 years of involvement in concert booking, promotions and production, Mammoth's events range from full scale festival, amphitheater and arena shows to small club venues.
We work with a variety of artists from folk, country, rock, pop, EDM, metal, indie, comedy, etc and have worked to be one of the most prominent independent promoters around.
Mammoth is one of the largest independent concert promoters in the country, promoting hundreds of concerts every year for a diverse array of artists at venues across the country, ranging from small clubs to arenas and festivals. We are looking for a full time Senior Accountant that will work out of our Lawrence, KS office. This role encompasses accounting business for Mammoth, associated venues, affiliated branches, subsidiaries and/or partnered relationships.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Experience with Quickbooks required
-Previous accounting experience required
-Must be able to work out of our Lawrence, KS office
Responsibilities include:
- Updates checks and payments received within 1 business day to ensure accurate balances pertaining to assigned businesses
- Accountable for daily receivables cash application
- Prepares low to moderate risk month end account reconciliations including Fixed Assets, Prepaid and Accruals, A/P and A/R and other balance sheet accounts
- Monitors and submits non-routine journal entries into the ledger
- Applies daily receivable receipts to customer aging balances to maintain accurate A/R ledger balances
- Prepare Final Show P&L. Enter event related journal entries in QuickBooks including sales taxes (review ticketing audits, co-promoter and building settlements and receipts)
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
- Compiles month end P&L, transaction detail list, bank statement and reconciliation, and credit card reconciliation for divisions (backup to be scanned and put in Dropbox)
- Complete Budget to Actual for assigned companies
- Works with any other assigned bookkeepers for various Mammoth associated/related entities to assist where needed in those QB files
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 per year
