Local Information Technology Company seeking a Help Desk Support Technician to join our Help Desk Team. Previous technical support experience required. We are looking for an independent worker with the ability to think on their own and make the appropriate on the spot decisions. Please include professional references with resume.
Primary responsibilities will be:
- Answer incoming phone calls to the support line
- Respond to support e-mails and log in our ticket system
- Troubleshoot and Resolve tickets in an efficient manner
- Troubleshoot printer, scanner, and fax machine issues
- Troubleshoot Windows based application issues.
- Perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly maintenance tasks on client systems
- Monitor health of servers and workstations
- Assist in hardware and software roll-outs
- Document your work
In order to perform these functions properly, a working knowledge and some experience with the following services/protocols/hardware is recommended:
- Active Directory
- Windows Server
- Desktop Imaging/Deployment
- Printer Setup /Deployment
- POP, IMAP, and Exchange
This is an entry-level postion, however atleast 1 year of experience with technical support is recommended. The key skills to bring to this position are the ability to solve problems, troubleshoot under pressure while remaining calm and professional. We are looking for a person with the right mix of technical knowledge, charm, and critical thinking. Having reliable transportation is a must.
This is a Full-Time Position with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with high-level voice, data and video networking for the right candidate.
