The
Manatee County Utilities Department provides potable and reclaimed water services to the citizens of unincorporated areas of Manatee County, Florida. The
Cross Connection Section administers and directs all work in support of the County's Cross Connection Control Program (CCCP). The position helps ensure full compliance with the State Cross Connection Control Program requirements as contained in Chapter 62-550 and 62-555 F.A.C. governing drinking water systems and Article X of Chapter 2-31 Manatee County Code of Ordinances.
As a
Customer Service Representative II, you will perform intermediate-level customer service and customer accounting functions (in accordance with established policies and procedures) in a highly interdependent team environment where the coordination of effort to enhance team performance and achieve customer satisfaction is the primary focus.

What You Will Do - Applying knowledge of applicable policies, rules, procedures, regulations, rates, and the customer information computer systems, effectively executes all intermediate skills associated with customer service, including, but not limited to, answering, and effectively satisfying all customer requests, inquiries and complaints.
- Works efficiently and tactfully in a demanding, high stress environment to answer and effectively satisfy assigned inquiries and complaints.
- Makes appropriate decisions, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Ensures customer information is correct and complete; processes customer correspondence and takes appropriate action.
- Ensures order information is correct and complete; creates, maintains, and closes service orders.
Who You Are - Ability to sit at a workstation utilizing a personal computer and maintaining concentration for long periods of time.
- Skill in computer operations, including pertinent software applications and a specialized Customer Service system.

hereRequired Skills - High school diploma or equivalent certificate of competency.
- Minimum of three (3) years clerical customer service-oriented experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of financial or cashiering experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Customer Service Representative I.
- Achievement of all skill level requirements in all areas of assigned section (training provided).
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
