The Baler Operator plays a crucial role in our metal recycling operations. As a Baler Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating industrial balers and scales to process scrap metal. Your attention to detail, ability to follow safety protocols, and teamwork will contribute to the efficient functioning of our facility.
Responsibilities:
Operate Balers: Safely operate and maintain industrial balers to compress and package scrap metal materials.
Scale Operation: Accurately weigh and record scrap metal using scales.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols while operating machinery and handling materials.
Climb Stairs: Ascend and descend stairs within the facility as needed.
Two-Way Radios: Communicate effectively with team members using two-way radios.
Transportation: Candidates must have their own reliable transportation to commute to work.
Physical Stamina: This role involves physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Work Environment: Be comfortable working in an industrial setting, which may include exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
Hygiene and Rest: Arrive at work well-rested and prepared for a day of manual labor.
Dirty Work: Be willing to get your hands dirty – this is a hands-on job!
