Mancan Staffing is assisting a company in Kent that is looking for a 2nd shift Shipping Clerk to join their team. The company is specifically looking for candidates who have previous experience and a solid work history.

Pay Rate : $18 / hr.
2 : 30pm-11 : 00pm
Responsibilities :
1. Loading and Unloading :
- Safely load and unload materials onto truck trailers using overhead cranes.
- Operate equipment with precision to ensure the secure transport of steel tubing products.
2. Packaging :
Package materials according to company standards, ensuring the protection and integrity of products during transportation.
3. Forklift Operation :
Drive forklifts to move materials within the facility and assist in loading and unloading processes.
4. Order Recognition and Verification :
- Accurately identify and recognize customer orders.
- Verify orders against documentation to ensure correctness and completeness.
5. Banding :
Securely band materials using metal bands, ensuring stability and safety during transportation.
6. Measurement Skills :
Utilize tape measures to measure and cut materials accurately, meeting quality standards.
7. Documentation :
Maintain accurate records of loaded materials, ensuring proper documentation for tracking and inventory purposes.
8. Safety and Compliance :
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to create a secure working environment.
- Comply with company policies and procedures, including the safe operation of equipment.
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or steel tubing environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Ability to read and interpret tape measurements accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in handling materials.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
- Valid driver's license with 2 points or less
