What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Mancan?
Warehouse Associate needed in Chagrin Falls on first shift (8am-5pm). Starting pay for this position is $17-$19 an hour and is temp to hire.
Attention to detail - Accuracy – must be a detailed oriented individual.
Sense of urgency – due to our promise to customers to ship their order by 5pm if received by 4pm, there must be a sense of urgency.
Time management - Punctuality and attendance – candidates must be able to work the first 90 days without any unscheduled call-offs or tardiness.
Problem solving - Count and read – candidate must be able to count with accuracy and read and comprehend due to the picking system is a manual operation.
Teamwork – must be able to work cohesively in a team environment.
Work Ethic – must take pride in the work they do as a team member of the distribution team and understand the importance of their role.
Technical skills required to perform the job successfully:
Ability to understand and perform FIFO – first in/first out picking process.
Previous work experience with UPS shipping software and FedEx shipping software.
Ability to complete shipping paperwork timely and accurately.
Ability to comprehend the pick list and pick the correct product.
Experience in packing product and making the best decision to minimize damage to product in transit.
Experience handling HazMat shipping when necessary.
High School Diploma required.
