Overview:
Manchester Tank & Equipment Co. has been a trusted industry leader in the design and manufacture of steel and aluminum low-pressure DOT cylinders and ASME pressure vessels for the storage and transport of propane, chemicals, compressed air and other industrial applications since 1946.

We are currently looking for a fulltime Shipping Warehouse Associate This position coordinates incoming/outgoing trailers, and administrative duties involved in the timely shipping of product to our customers. This position is fulltime and part of a team of warehouse/shipping personnel that report to the Warehouse Manager. The schedule is Monday -Friday (some Saturdays), hours of 6a to 4p (flexibility required due to arrival/departure time of trailers). Due to the occasional responsibility of moving truck between warehouses across the street from each other; a CDL is required for this position.

  • Wage progression starting at $16/hr -reaching top pay in 12 months - .75 cent shift differential will be added for 2nd and 3rd shift

Responsibilities:
Essential Job Duties (include but not limited to):
  • Load/unload trailers & shuttle product from warehouse
  • Coordinate trailers entering and leaving as needed.
  • Cycle counts inventory at each warehouse as necessary.
  • Fill out and submit various types of shipping paperwork
  • Ensures that drivers log in/log out and follow all safety procedures.
  • Current CDL A license required and must be maintained.
  • Professional interpersonal skills (verbal, written, email)
  • Print pick lists as needed.
  • Print shippers, label, and bills of lading daily, as needed.
  • Select part numbers to be palletized together on mixed orders.
  • Able to use office equipment (phone, fax, copy machines, etc).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Communicate problems and deficiency of area to manager/supervisor in a timely manner
  • Any other tasks or duties as assigned by Manager
Qualifications:
  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in shipping/receiving in similar industry required
  • CDL required
  • Excellent reading/writing/comprehension skills required
  • Regular Attendance is required to perform expertly in this position
  • Ability to perform all essential job duty functions
  • Work self-directed in a fast paced environment
  • Forklift experience required
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures by season(hot in the summer, cold in the winter)
  • Able to handle physical demands of the job to include(not limited to): lifting, bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, kneeling, standing, walking
