As a Maintenance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of approximately 3000 units across New Haven County. With a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience under your belt, you'll lead a dedicated team of maintenance professionals, overseeing their work and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the maintenance department, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment upgrades.
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of maintenance issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory management.
- Manage projects related to facility upgrades or equipment installations, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in maintenance or related field.
- Extensive knowledge of maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, sheetrock, flooring, roofing, boilers, etc.
- Strong background in maintenance management, with experience in residential maintenance preferred.
- Proven ability to lead a team of technicians and effectively delegate tasks.
- Project management skills to plan and execute maintenance projects within budget and timeline constraints.
- Knowledge of high voltage systems and safety protocols.
- Knowledge of Yardi software for maintenance tracking and management a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proficient in English communication, both verbal and written.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Experience in fabrication or welding is a plus.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
