JOB DESCRIPTION for:

Tool Crib Attendant

Schedule: ·

1st Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:30am-5:00pm

2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 5:00pm-3:30am

3rd Shift: Friday-Sunday 5:00am-5:30pm

Pay Scale: · $20.00-$24.00 per hour DOE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1 year of CNC machining or manufacturing experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with manufacturing-based technology, processes, and principles.
  • 3 years of CNC Machining and tool buildup experience
  • Knowledge of pre-setter, heat shrink equipment
  • Extensive knowledge of tool holders and tooling required for CNC equipment.

· Skilled Trade certification from accredited college, community college, or vocational school preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Adhering to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual (Doc# 50226)
  • Adhering to the codes of the company’s Quality Management System.
  • Adhering to the expectations as outlined in the general and position specific expectation documents as applicable.
  • Continually demonstrate, promote, and be a cheerleader for the company’s Core Values.
  • Maintaining a reasonable work environment and providing adequate safeguards for the work-related health and safety of employees. This includes ensuring the area complies with all Federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Maintaining confidentiality on all corporate subjects so classified.
  • Set up CNC Machine tooling according to set up booklets without supervision.
  • Change out cutting tools and/or holders correctly and efficiently.
  • Correctly measure all tools for correct Radius, Diameter, Flute count, Flute lengths, gauge length, relief length, clearance length and document all.
  • Ensure all tooling is checked out of inventory correctly thru the supply pro inventory system.
  • Ensure all tooling is placed in the correct CNC machine, correct machine tool magazine pot and correct rotation.
  • Ensure the correct tools are removed from machine magazine pot when replacing tooling.
  • Ensure all Tooling Holders are maintained clean and in good condition.
  • Ensure all equipment within the tooling crib is kept cleaned and organized.
  • Maintain an inventory of tooling for the CNC Machining Centers.
  • Learn and use all appropriate modules of our Management Information System (JobBOSS Job Control/ERP Software; MS-Office's Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate information clearly and directly to co-workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to accept criticism and deal calmly and effectively with stressful situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and/or listen. The employee frequently is required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands or fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a plant environment to include moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and explosives. Safety Glasses must be worn in all required areas. Safety Toe (Steel or Kevlar) shoes or boots must be worn at all times, while working in the manufacturing areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, ear protection is provided if needed.
