Our practice is seeking a Responsible, Reliable, Intellectual, Honest, Friendly, well-presented medical receptionist who is a team player and able to multitask at the front desk of a busy solo OB/GYN practice in Manhasset, NY.
*Responsibilities and Duties*
Greeting the patient, registering, updating patient information, schedule appointments correctly, confirming appointments the day before, and handling multi-line phones.
Communicate clearly with patients both in person and over the phone.
Collect co-pays and do collections/balance bill patients.
Relay results to patients after talking to the doctor.
Create and send referrals.
Verify insurances.
Prepare charts in advance.
Scan incoming mail/ paper works.
Knowledge of CPT & ICD10 codes
Computer Savy
*Qualifications and Skills*
1- Minimum high school diploma, if you have finished college your salary will be higher.
2-If you are familiar with marketing and know-how to maintain and update the medical website it is a plus for you and will increase your salary.
3-if you have a medical assistant diploma it is a plus for you.
