Large apartment community on the westbank is looking for an Underwriter/Admin Assistant to primarily perform underwriting duties for prospective residents. This position requires underwriting experience, strong investigative skills, and excellent attention to detail.
Duties and responsibilities:
75% The underwriter is responsible for processing applications, verifying information, preparing evaluation for property manager approval. This includes the review and verification of paystubs, W2 income, and other documentation, previous residential history, credit checks, and background checks; renewals; daily and monthly reports.
5% Acts as relief/backup receptionist for leasing and
10% Assists the Quality of Life Manager with letter generation, logging and tracking issues, and other miscellaneous tasks.
10% Provides a variety of supportive services as directed by management.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, & SKILLS:
- Advanced knowledge and operation of computer, and software programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of data gathering techniques, such as internet research
- Knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management, research and general administration.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with guests, residents, and staff.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, typewriters, copiers, calculators and facsimile machines.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to maintain confidentialities as determined by company policy and legal requirements.
- Must be organized and exercise self discipline.
