Manhattan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is looking to hire an Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide patient centered occupational therapy for patients in our long-term care facility in Jackson, MS. A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

As an Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant at a long-term care facility, you arrive each day happy to work for a practice that gives you the time and support to get real results for your patients. You use your knowledge of developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents to plan and deliver the best individualized care for each of your patients whether challenged with orthopedic issues, neurological diseases, or complex medical conditions.

Your attention to detail is essential to your success, as you keep up-to-date and accurate records. And, your collaborative skills come into play as you play an active role on each patient's interdisciplinary team. Using your good communication skills, you also take the time to thoroughly educate caregivers at the skilled nursing facility on how to assist patients with their individualized maintenance programs. QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST

• Associates degree from an accredited certified occupational therapy assistant program
• Current certified occupational therapy assistant license
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations as they pertain to long-term care, skilled nursing, and rehabilitation facilities
