What are the responsibilities and job description for the Valet Parking Attendant position at Manhattan Parking Group?
Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Park and retrieve customer vehicles in a safely and timely manner.
- Cooperate with all team members to provide the best possible service to all internal and external guests.
- Direct incoming customers and explain parking rates and procedures to guests upon arrival.
- Perform a visual inspection of each vehicle before taking possession and note any conditions
- Ensure keys and tickets are organized and in appropriate areas.
- Open all vehicle doors for guests and assist with luggage/packages when necessary.
- Maintain a pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients.
- Report any known accidents, observed conditions or violations of Company policy to supervisor. Safety hazards or any unusual occurrence must be reported immediately to the local manager.
- Maintain a neat and orderly location at all times, free of debris and trash with clean windows void of unapproved company posters or decorative hangings.
- Provide the company’s standards of service with each customer including maintaining the required uniform appearance, stating the company greeting, answering questions, resolving issues and thanking each customer upon exit.
- May be asked to perform cashier duties (including handling cash and credit card transactions).
- May be asked by local management to complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks according to the company’s maintenance checklists.
- Other special projects as assigned by location management.
Minimum Job Qualifications (including but not limited to):
- Ability to print words and numbers legibly in English and to verbally communicate clearly.
- Must have a valid DMV- driver’s license.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Must maintain a neat and clean appearance in adherence to company standards at all times.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions (including but not limited to): While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time; walk; and use hands to handle cash and equipment. The employee is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential job functions. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.The employee may be subjected to weather conditions prevalent at the time.
