What are the responsibilities and job description for the Anticipated Speech/Language Teacher position at Manheim Central School District?
The Manheim Central School District is seeking to hire candidates for full-time Speech/Language Teacher positions. These are permanent positions to start at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. Grade levels to be determined.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: reviewing each referral prior to evaluation to make sure the student records are complete, including parent permission; requesting outside data as needed; discussing the student’s overall performance with the teacher; facilitating case management through involvement with the building evaluation team meetings, consultation with parents and teachers, observation and IEPs; and evaluating the language, articulation, voice, and fluency, of referred students.
Valid PA certification in one of the following required:
- Speech/Language Impairment PK-12
- Speech/Language Pathology
The successful candidate will have experience with social communication disorders/ASD and expressive language/writing skill development. Candidate must have high academic achievement and possess integrity with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
