What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler - 1st and 2nd shifts position at Manitowoc Hamilton?
Must be competent to read all shop drawings rapidly and accurately and be familiar with the assembly of all types of furniture, public space material, etc.
Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):
· Must be skilled in fitting drawers, doors, moldings, etc.
· Must be competent to apply and fit any type of covering required on cases or other material.
· Must be competent to adjust minor defects when fitting parts and be able to remove dents, repair minor scratches.
· Install and repair hardware when necessary
· Produce a quality assembly/cabinet
· Assemble parts rapidly and accurately without damage
· Must be familiar with and skilled in the use of all tools required.
Assist in painting operations by hanging parts and/or spray painting as needed
Ergonomics
· Standing full time
· Significant upper body movement such as pushing, pulling, reaching and twisting
· Significant arm and wrist strength
· Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
