What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician 3rd shift position at Mann+Hummel?
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: The Maintenance Technician must be able to repair, install, replace, and maintain either mechanical or electrical equipment. They will also diagnose equipment failure and make repairs to equipment per manufacture recommendations and / or appropriate instructions.
Mechanical Tech
- Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems
- Performing mechanical preventative maintenance tasks
- Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs
- Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records in the CMMS System
- Monitoring the availability of parts and replenishing supplies
- Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings
Electrical Tech
- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installation Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
- Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance
- Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, alternators, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PLC’s, industrial electrical and electronic control systems, and other related devices
- Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records
YOUR SKILLS:
Education
High School Diploma or G.E.D. and successful completion of an Industrial maintenance program or related program certification or diploma or Journeyman’s certification Experience:
- Training and /or experience with electrical or mechanical equipment within an industrial setting.
Required Skills: Have basic knowledge of O.S.H.A., State and Local codes.
Maintain appropriate records such as work orders, time sheets etc.
Repairs defective parts in compliance with O.S.H.A., State and Local codes.
Must maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized work area and participate in shop clean-up schedules and projects.
Operate all maintenance equipment in accordance with safety requirements.
Must assist in the building of new equipment and fixtures as required or diagnose and repair of electrical items as required.
Must be able to work independently as well as lead a team.
Preferred Skills: A minimum of two years mechanical or electrical experience

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
