JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises day to day activities and material flow for shipping warehouse personnel
- Maintain and audit Logistics Basics Standards for compliance and adherence
- Ensures performance and standard work in areas of responsibility through direct supervision of Logistics Coordinators, implementation of Visual Work Manuals and Visual Controls throughout department
- Plans for the long and short-term growth of the department, including the development of staffing plans, training, and documentation
- Ensures department standards of performance are clearly and consistently administered across the department and are consistent with policies and targets established by the company
- Supervises the daily activities of 3rd party logistics provider
- Coordinate and monitor inventory control methodology including receiving, Plan for Every Part storage plan, material handling flow and shipment of inventory
- Facilitates department communications by ensuring daily start up and periodic meetings are held on each shift; one-on-one meetings, and other communications
- Establish staging sequence in accordance with Idle time targets to ensure 100% on time customer delivery and continuous improvements in manpower utilization
- Implements Visual Controls to ensure early detection and response to abnormalities
- Generate and monitor monthly department performance reports such as customer delivery ratings, inventory turns and accuracy, expedite costs, customer delivery delays, and department expenses, etc.
- Ensures that all inventory activities are in full compliance with all safety, health and environmental rules and regulations
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Supply Management, or related business degree (preferred)
Experience:
- 4 years’ minimum materials management experience, including 3 or more years in a supervisory role in a Tier I Automotive, JIT and/ or ILVS Facility
- Strong Record of Kaizen development and implementation in logistics functions
- Experience with managing budgets and ability to create & maintain various management reports
Required Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, and customer service skills
- Intermediate computer skills, Microsoft Office products and SAP
- Ability to interpret performance metrics and targets into specific actions
- The ability to make decisions, solve problems, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, warehouse environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
