What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk position at Manna?
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet program participants, volunteers and community members.
Answer telephone, triage program participant needs, give referrals and resources.
Provides basic supportive services to program participants in need.
Document and record provided assistance for program participants in EmpowOr.
Facilitate the use of the Business Center, Play Area, Showers and Market Check-out.
Maintains program participant’s confidentiality at all times.
Schedule program participant appointments and maintain Outlook global calendar.
Keep front desk and reception area clean, organized and sanitized.
Maintain inventory of office supplies and office supply ordering.
Maintain office copier and shredder.
Manage incoming and outgoing program participant mail.
Participates in Manna’s trainings, staff meetings, community meetings, collaborations and
events.
Supervise and train front desk volunteers.
Provide back-up support to the Resource Center and Market, as needed.
Assist Resource Center Manager and Executive Director with various projects.
Prepares and sends thank you letters to donors and assigns thank you’s to Board Members for
Top Donors; including creating a new thank you letter monthly, updating the Stripe donation
letter thank you and sending “in honor of” thank yous.
Other Administrative duties as needed/requested by the Executive Director: May include but not
limited to:
Grant research.
Provide support in researching and developing policies, procedures and new programming.
Various PR tasks; including creating marketing materials and power point presentations.
Coordinating special events and fundraising.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Knowledge of trauma informed care, homelessness and/or food insecurity preferred.
- Writing and oral skills necessary to communicate to staff, program participants, volunteers, and
community partners.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Outlook, and
ability to learn new data entry programs quickly and independently.
- Pass drug tests for employment and submit to random drug tests.
- Pass a background check.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
