Warehouse: Boerne, TX

Overview: 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional organizational abilities, and a keen eye for efficiency. The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in spearheading process enhancements throughout the production floor, employing methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, Kuban, Kaizen and 5S to streamline operations and minimize costs. With a focus on peak efficiency, they establish and enforce warehouse policies and procedures while leveraging their seasoned expertise to drive continuous improvement and elevate organizational output.

Responsibilities:

1.    Team Leadership: Offer guidance and mentorship to production departments and team leads, fostering a culture of leadership and accountability.

2.    Operational Efficiency: Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping/receiving processes.

3.    Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate existing processes and identify areas for improvement to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and minimize errors.

4.    Quality Control: Implement and maintain rigorous quality control standards to ensure accuracy and integrity throughout all stages of the warehouse workflow.

5.    Company Objectives: Collaborate with executive and leadership teams to establish ambitious warehouse and team objectives.

6.    Data Analysis and Reporting: Develop and Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to monitor performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making.

7.    Health and Safety Compliance: Enforce compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel.

8.    Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, tracking, and replenishment to prevent stockouts, minimize excess inventory, and meet customer demand.

9.    Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate maintenance schedules for warehouse equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

10. Vendor Relations: Liaise with suppliers and vendors to coordinate deliveries, resolve issues, and negotiate favorable terms to support efficient warehouse operations.

11. Training and Development: Provide training, coaching, and development opportunities for warehouse staff to enhance their skills, knowledge, and job performance.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Possess 5 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing within a processing environment.

Hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Six Sigma or equivalent Certified

Proven experience in warehouse operations management, with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.

Strong leadership abilities, with the demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management software, and other relevant technology platforms.

Solid understanding of health and safety regulations, quality control standards, and operational best practices within a warehouse setting.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with personnel at all levels of the organization.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify issues, and develop solutions to drive continuous improvement.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time position based at our warehouse facility, with occasional weekend and evening work required to support operational needs.
