MPG is partnering with an early-stage Biotech company seeking a Chief of Staff. Partnering with the CEO and working closely with the leadership team, the ideal candidate will enjoy a role at the intersection of project management and business operations which will ensure the firms quick growth as it seeks to scale internationally. The CoS is a highly visible and impactful role in this growing organization. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the desire to collaborate cross-functionally and strive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:


  • Supporting the leadership team by keeping projects on track, attending key meetings, connecting-dots and facilitating communication across the company.
  • Act as a liaison, sounding board, and implementer to the CEO; partner with the CEO on initiatives that ensure a high functioning organization.
  • Scope, plan, lead and execute multiple high priority projects; monitor progress and achievement of next steps and develop and maintain an inventory of critical projects and the corporate calendar.
  • Partner with program leaders, functional leaders, and administrative staff to ensure streamlined activities and the coordination and orchestration of projects or commitments.
  • Support the CEO in optimizing their schedule and improving delegation to ensure efficiency with the leadership team.
  • Leading company-wide projects and support with strategic planning and investor communications.
  • Identifying issues before they become problems and suggesting ways to improve our processes and efficiency.


Skills & Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or something similar. MBA is a bonus.
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a startup.
  • Strong project management skills and experience using planning tools.
  • Excellent communicator who can engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex information and make smart decisions.
  • Self-starter who’s comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments.
  • Travel of up to 15%.
