What are the responsibilities and job description for the Head Bartender position at Manny's Bistro?
The Manny's Bartender will be tasked with sole management of a small, 4-seat service bar principally concerned with providing mixed drinks and wines by the glass for a full-service dining room. Essential tasks will include bar set-up and break-down, and phone management.
Ideal candidates will have rich knowledge of both classic and modern cocktails, and be enthusiastic about the opportunity to think creatively about special showcases. Knowledge of IBA cocktails is a must, and mastery of rapid production of high-quality iterations of classics such as martinis, manhattans, and spritzes will be essential for success in this role.

Experience using vacuum pump and Coravin systems is a major asset, but candidates eager to learn will have the opportunity to train with these devices.
TIPS/NY-ATAP certification is mandatory, and competitive candidates will have undergone either bartender training programs or have extensive industry experience.
Successful candidates will be charismatic, type-A individuals with an affable demeanor and a high degree of professionalism, eager to step into a leadership role interacting closely with bar customers and with all front of house staff.
Who we are:
Manny's is an Upscale Casual venture situated in the Lincoln Center neighborhood of Manhattan's Upper West Side. Opened in 2020 after the manager of the location's previous incarnation, Bistro Cassis, took the restaurant over, new owner Manuel Colon has since worked tirelessly to 'take the restaurant to a new level.' The project is now embarking on a transition to a more elevated take on the classic French Bistro concept, and the confident and charming Bartender will be a keystone of this endeavor.
