What's the Job?
- Provides leadership and direction for all members involved in Quality Systems support and coordinates the team's efforts with other support areas.
- Directs, implements, and maintains operational-level strategies and objectives.
- Develops short to moderate-term goals and translates them into short-term plans in support of operational goals and objectives.
- Maintains contact with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and support resources to ensure that Quality Assurance systems are meeting objectives and continuously improving.
- Manages, monitors and controls material, labor, and overhead costs in respective area. Develops, reviews, and maintains budgets and expenses for department.
- Maintains appropriate level of staff support necessary to meet business goals and objectives.
- Monitors productivity of groups and individuals, recommends changes where desirable. Provides leadership and support to staff to assist employees with skill development.
- Leads the effort to internalize quality systems that meet or exceed ISO9001/2000 and ISO 17025 Standards both.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physical science, or quality control.
- Managerial experience including financial/budget responsibility, management leadership, and strategic decision making/leadership in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated employee relationship and management skills to develop, lead, support, and motivate a cohesive, world-class quality assurance team.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills to work with internal and external contacts at all levels within the organization.
- Able to represent the company in a professional manner with customers and suppliers.
