Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Outside Plant Manager to join our team supporting a large U. S. Government program within the National Capitol Region.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing outside cable plant within all the Manholes, Handholes (MH, HH) on the Pentagon reservation, Mark Center and the NCR outlying locations under ITA's purview.
- Perform outside plant cabling installation procedures, decommissioning procedures and maintenance procedures for MH, HH and related outside plant infrastructure
- Making duct assignments in MH, HH and related outside plant infrastructure
- Analyze requirements; plan and develop technical solutions and frameworks; develop test and implementation plans, analyze and evaluate networks,
- Compose and deliver oral and written communications with the highest level of management
- Maintain aggressive approach to manage, present, communicate and deliver responsive technical solutions
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering or Equivalent Work Experience (at least 12 years)
- Current experience (3 to 5 years) of industry standards and BISCI-Outside Plant Registered Communications Distribution Designers (RCDD) certification
- Must have knowledge of outside plant cabling installation procedures, decommissioning procedures and maintenance procedures for MH, HH and related outside plant infrastructure
- Demonstrated knowledge in making duct assignments in MH, HH and related outside plant infrastructure
- Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, effective decision-making, leadership, strong work ethic, teamwork, and competent writing and oral communication skills
- Capable of working in an outdoor environment daily
- Capable of passing Confined Space Training
- Possess excellent communication skills and thought leadership
- Strong presentation skills and excellent oral communication skills required
- Strong writing skills and the ability to distill knowledge and skills into visuals and other guidance for students
Security Clearance Requirements:
- Active or current Secret Clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Use of computers and an ability for productivity in a government environment within the NCR
- Ability to travel within the NCR to visit various physical customer locations
