Gryphon Technologies is looking for a highly qualified Sr. Cloud Engineer who will analyze and evaluate user needs in support of application migration and apply resources required for each task to determine functional requirements. Conceptualize, develop, and implement complex cloud systems designed to meet client requirements. Supports application migration objectives and prepares system design specifications to meet requirements. Performs quality review of specifications for internal and external delivery. Designs, develops, implements, and tests new systems or modifies existing systems that meet the user's needs. Develops analytical tools for use in the design and redesign of programs as assigned; may serve as a technical team or task lead. You will provide advocacy and strategic technical guidance to help plan and build solutions using best practices, and pro-actively oversee a team that keeps customers’ AWS environments operationally healthy. The close relationships developed with your customers will allow you to understand their business/operational needs and technical challenges, and help them achieve the greatest value. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Eight (8) years of experience working independently or under general direction on complex cloud and application problems involving all phases of environmental analysis - Experience ensuring that AWS and Azure instances are built and secured to meet DISA STIG security and mission requirements - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Math, or related discipline required, or 8 years of equivalent work experience - Use system automation technologies such as chef, puppet, ansible or others to create standardized IT environment - Experience working with Cloud Architects to generate assessments, as well as develop and implement actionable recommendations analysis - Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience as a technical lead - Expert with AWS services and/or other cloud offerings - Experience with automation technologies such as chef, puppet, ansible, or others to establish standardized IT environments PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Meets/exceeds Gryphon’s leadership principles requirements for this role - Meets/exceeds Gryphon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role 7 years of technical engineering experience - Experience in Informational Technology operations - Professional oral and written communication skills, presenting to an audience containing one or more decision maker(s) Experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment - Work with the Cloud Architect to generate assessments, as well as develop and implement actionable recommendations based on results and reviews - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or equivalent Please note many of our positions require the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens.
