The Plant Manager will oversee the extrusion operation to produce products in the most cost effective and efficient manner. We are looking for someone who can relate to the current staff and be able to motivate and influence the team. This includes leading supervisors and providing support for all of production. You will also be responsible for monitoring/tracking output, adhering to QMS and maintaining safety requirements.

DUTIES

• Effectively interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
• Ensures supervisors are adhering to company policy and administering practices in fair and equitable manner
• Understands individual and team performance goals, expectations, and plans
• Trains, develops, and evaluates staff effectively and within company policy and standards. Takes corrective action as necessary on timely basis and in accordance with company policy.
• Understand and follow the Health & Safety Practices. Report all injuries and unsafe work conditions. Attend mandatory safety training and request additional training as needed.
• Ensures that production of product is produced in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Ensures standards for product quality, equipment and operator performance are maintained and that cost-effective technology is used to maximize production. Ensures fixed assets are preserved.
• Develops, monitors and reports on operating costs within functional area. Makes recommendations and implements solutions to problems related to same.
• Create, develop, and monitor daily KPIs for production
• Manages budget and controls expenses effectively

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) preferred
• 5 Years leading teams of ~25 employees in a manufacturing
• Experience in mid-size and small size organization preferred
• 5 Years of plastics or mold injection experience is preferred
• Able to multitask
• Strong communication skills
• A decision Maker
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs
