This is an excellent entry-level machine shop opportunity for the right candidate with exposure to different shop jobs and responsibilities.

Tasks include but are not limited to the following :

  • Perform basic manual labor
  • Perform basic fabrication duties, grinders, hand drills, etc.
  • Disassemble and assemble machine components and sub-components.
  • Use measuring tools and instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, multimeters, etc.
  • Assist machine shop managers with various tasks
  • Industrial machine painting
  • Sub Assembly

The right candidate will :

  • Be committed to and take pride in quality work and performance.
  • Be mechanically inclined and enjoy working in a mechanical shop environment
  • Have some experience working with power tools
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts
  • Some exposure to manufacturing processes - Preferred, not required
  • Be able to read basic blueprints preferred but not required
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a collaborative manner with co-workers and management.
  • Must be able to work easily with 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and lift throughout the day up to a full workday.
  • Must be comfortable with heights and able to work on a ladder.
  • Follow and understand standard work and training guides
