Reports To: Quality Manager

Job Status: Full Time

1. Objective:

The primary objective of the QEHS Specialist is to support the company’s Quality and EHS programs and promote customer satisfaction.

2. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support as a Quality control resource for problem identification, resolution and continuous improvement
  • Design implement and document procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection
  • Develops and implements various methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, reliability and accuracy of products, processes and production equipment
  • Maintains and improves current quality system and procedures, inspection plans, quality performance trends, statistical plans, cost estimates and technical quality plans for proposals
  • Analyze customer’s product specifications to establish efficient, cost-effective requirements for ease of manufacture and productivity
  • Identifies quality performance, trends and applies appropriate actions necessary to reverse negatively trending performances
  • Ensures compliance to specified quality and quality system requirements by performing internal QMS audits
  • Perform root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements
  • Maintain and support quality planning methods for all product lines.
  • Maintain and support process certification standards and assist in process certification (ISO)
  • Interact with customers to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel
  • Oversee calibration and testing programs
  • Report to quality management on quality issues, trends and losses.
  • Participate in internal and external quality audits
  • Makes quality-related customer visits and contacts as required
  • Additional duties as assigned

3. Role Requirements:

· Educational

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing engineering or Business Administration

· Experience

  • 3 years minimum of QA system implementation and management experience
  • Experience maintain and improving ISO 9001
  • EHS programs and basic OSHA experience
  • Six Sigma and Lean tools experience preferred
  • Diverse knowledge of inspection and control methods, techniques, and documentation
  • Proven track record

· Skills

  • Ability to establish goals and objectives to complete projects
  • Advanced communication skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Strong computer skills, including work processing and Excel

4. Safety Responsibilities:

  • Follow Safety standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
  • Participate in the Total Continuous Improvement program
  • Attend all employee Safety Meetings
  • Use prescribed Personal Protective Equipment
  • Observe restricted areas and all warning signs

5. Work Environment:

  • Work environment varies depending on job function, site and activity. This role will generally be exposed to Warehouse working conditions. Warehouse area provides protection from outside weather/elements in most cases but is not climate controlled. Adequate lighting and ventilation exist in all areas of the facility.

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Frequently required to stand, walk, kneel, crouch. Regularly required to stand throughout the day. Required to use hands to handle or feel. Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Required to hear, listen and communicate with others on production floor while machinery is operating.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
